Job Description:
Responsible for assisting a Sales Representative in the successful execution of the sales plan for their assigned territory and the achievement of quarterly and annual sales plan objectives. This role includes essential functions such as the management of field sales operations, customer acquisition, cultivation & retention, product launch execution, inventory management, surgical case coverage, and travel within the territory as well as maintaining open communications with their assigned senior sales representative leadership team.
Territory will include: NYC (Long Island, Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx) and Long Island.
Essential job functions:
Assumes responsibility for the effective performance of area sales functions
Studies data and information on new equipment to develop sales approach and demonstration techniques
Makes sales presentations of medical equipment or supplies to prospective customers; demonstrates product features
Listens to customer needs and suggests appropriate equipment or products
Prospects for new accounts and seeks opportunities to increase sales with existing customers
Conducts regular sales calls in person to develop customer relationships and follow up on leads
Negotiates price and credit terms and finalizes sales contracts
Meets established quotas and sales goals
Ensures that sales accounts are serviced in accordance with Company standards and policies
Estimates delivery dates and ensures products are delivered on time. Monitors inventory levels to avoid product shortages
Forecasts long range account sales, inventory levels, and product needs, and communicates related information regularly to management
Ensures that customers are satisfied with Company products and services; obtains customer feedback and continually works to improve products and services
Resolves customer requests, complaints and delivery problems
Promotes products and services at trade shows
Provides assistance to area personnel as needed
Keeps management informed of area activities, changes in competitive conditions, and significant problems
Completes required sales reports, expense and regulatory records accurately and promptly
Provide comprehensive service to customers and vendors
Mastery of anatomy, pathology, procedures, products and application as evidenced by 90% pass rate on all vendor tests or internal assessments
Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner, and in accordance with manufacturer and customer code of conduct
High School diploma + 4 years of relevant sales or medical experience; or Bachelor's degree in related discipline with 0 years of experience.
A valid driver's license.
Ability to work in a lab or an operating room environment
Willingness to relocate if/when the opportunity arises.
Willingness to travel a high percentage of time.
Must possess strong market development skills, a competitive spirit and place a high value on ethical standards with regard to surgical procedures and patient outcomes.
Must be a self-starter with strong time management and planning skills, have the ability to target accounts and achieve results through a daily action plan.
Documented successful sales performance (high growth, results vs. plan)
Medical device sales experience

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
