The VMware GEH team Government, SLED (State, Local and Education) and Healthcare division is looking for people who share our passion for a solution and an industry focused approach to business. The Healthcare Payer Industry Strategist is an exceptional industry leader who is responsible for bringing it all together.
This position requires someone who is deeply passionate about healthcare consumers, technology and the people delivering helpful outcomes. You will help build key customer/industry relationships, identify industry trends and help our field sales team build business opportunities that directly impact our business.
You will be responsible for helping further define, build and execute on our healthcare payer market strategy, point of view and solutions set. This is a highly collaborative field role working directly across our customers, sales & engineering teams, industry groups and our partner ecosystem. You will initiate and facilitate discussions with our customers, lead industry discussions, participate/present at industry events, and conduct workshops. This person will work closely with the Healthcare Sales Account Executives and Regional Sales Directors, Inside Sales team, Product Specialists and Pre-Sale technical resources. Ultimately delivering solutions that drive measurable customer outcomes and financial results within our GEH Healthcare segment.
VMware GEH Solutions and Innovations Team Mission:
Provide transformational and innovative, customer-centric solutions to Government, Education and Healthcare customers that solve their unique business challenges so they can focus on their mission.
You will help develop and refine our Healthcare Payer solutions and strategy to help ensure our customers realize their business goals by the thoughtful and credible application of VMware technology, solutions and services.
Supporting sales and solutions engineering teams to ensure winning high value opportunities. Identifying and work directly on/in strategic long-term and short-term sales opportunities.
You will collaborate with our the GEH Industry Innovations and Solutions teams and be a catalyst for helping identifying net new revenue streams and markets for education solutions.
Responsible for identifying key internal and external development partners. Including but not limited to ISV's, public cloud providers, mobile device partners, consulting and payer specific industry organizations and groups.
Partner with Marketing to ensure we are speaking in the language of our customer and assisting with developing differentiated programs. Including working with industry analysts.
Developing account/team continuity and persistence presence by creating a high beneficial working relationship with high level payer business leaders
Generating long term industry growth through thought leadership through VMware at industry specific conferences, trade shows and events with presentation and keynotes
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (masters preferred) and 8+ years' of experience in Healthcare.
Deep understanding and validated experience in the payer industry including budget processes/lifecycles and decision-making processes. Including how technology and the regulatory ecosystem plays a role in budgets and decision making.
Proven skill set and track record in relationship-building and influence skills across a broad constituency ranging from C-Suite executives, system integrators and information technology teams.
Ability to effectively educate partners about the Healthcare Payer industry and knowledge of current business requirements and industry relationships.
Clearly articulate how VMware products and solution directly align to our customers mission.
Demonstrated skill set and track record in relationship-building and influence skills across a broad constituency ranging from C-Suite executives, system integrators and information technology teams.
Track record of providing professional learning and education; including presenting at conferences
Willingness to travel and work in a highly matrix, geographically distributed team
Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude under tight deadlines
Ability to navigate both customer and internal VMware organizations and develop trust-based relationships
Highly organized individual that can help coordinate many different internal and external groups as well as multiple solutions

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
