Key Account Manager - Personal Care

Croda is seeking a Key Account Manager to join our Personal Care Sales Team to cover several large accounts in the NY area. The ideal candidate will be based on Long Island or in the surrounding 5 boroughs. The Key Account Manager ? Personal Care will be responsible for managing sales activities, business development activities and customer relationships within the described territory in a manner that assures the sales targets are achieved.
Key Duties of the Key Account Manager - Personal Care:
Maintain and increase share at current customers
Identify and deliver new pieces of developmental and tactical business by working on projects with R&D and Purchasing
Negotiate pricing and terms
Develop and execute account plans and share them globally where applicable
Manage Sales contracts and agreements including pricing, payment terms, and rebates
Establish proper call frequency and follow-up ensuring strong relationships at all levels within the account
Expand Customer Base
Prospect for new customers via leads from trade shows, webinars, seminars, etc.
Field sample requests and inquiries from new customer prospects
Establish new business relationships with valid new customer contacts
Present Croda Inc professionally throughout the industry
Maintain Regional Market Knowledge
Maintain knowledge of competitive situations
Report all customer activity with the CRM system
Attend industry events
Maintain Company Databases
Input weekly call reports by end of day Monday
Input sample request by end of day that call is made
Update quarterly reports, CRM, and Opportunities Pipeline
The Key Account Manager ? Personal Care will perform all duties within the Company's safety, health and environmental regulations. All other duties as assignment by management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related technical field
At least 5 years' chemical sales/technical experience is required in the Personal Care industry.
Previous formulations experience strongly preferred
Willingness to travel up to 50% and visit customers 4 days per week
Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills required
Must be a self-starter and work independently.



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
