Benefits Manager

As the Benefits Manager, you will be responsible for the administration of employee benefit plans including health and welfare, retirement and savings, wellness and other benefit programs. You will collaborate with HR leadership and third party administrators in the development, communication and presentation of benefit programs.
Other responsibilities of the Benefits Manager role include:
oLeading the development, execution, and communication of benefit programs
oEnsuring the enhancement of the competitiveness and cost-effectiveness of the package
oAdministration of the company's benefit plans and programs
oMaintaining effective relationship with benefits plan carriers
oImproving operations and streamlining work processes
oCollaborating with payroll and HRIS leadership in the administration of data
oSupporting statutory compliance with FMLA, ADA , COBRA, ERISA, and HIPAA programs
oEnsuring maintenance of data entry of employee benefit elections and information
oCoordinating third party administrators for annual employee Benefit Open Enrollment
oProviding assistance in annual year-end process for benefits, compensation, and payroll
oAchieve annual department budget and company-wide budgets and objectives
Job Requirements
In this role, you must have excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, the ability to interact at all levels within and outside the organization, and strong analytical and quantitative abilities, including cost forecasting skills. We are seeking a candidate with excellent project management skills and the ability to assist in establishing and executing a benefits strategy. You must possess strong leadership and management skills that are highly adaptable to changing business conditions and priorities.
Other requirements of the Benefits Manager role include:
oBachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Finance, Law, or related field
o7-10 years of experience in a corporate benefits role designing, developing, and administering health / welfare, disability, and retirement benefits
oExcellent knowledge of federal and state regulations and legislation (e.g., PPACA, ERISA, IRC, DOL, FMLA, ADAA, COBRA, HIPAA)
oExcellent knowledge of technical aspects of benefits administration (e.g., discrimination testing and government reporting obligations)
oCertified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS), preferred

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
