Summary:
The Case Press Operator will provide a high level of service to ensure employee, customer, team member, and vendor satisfaction.
The Case Press Operator does this by assembling furniture parts and pieces into the carcass of unfinished case goods.
Job
Responsibilities:
Identify a variety of wood species products including but not limited to the following wood species:
Cherry, Mahogany, Oak, Maple, Birch, and Veneers Read, comprehend, and full fill production ticket and meet production goals based on case time standards Read and Interpret part drawings Set up work in the safest, most efficient manner per specifications and when no other jobs are noted as needed line up jobs in a manner that minimizes setup time.
Utilize procedure booklets to make correct operating decisions and confer with management on out of scope situations Conduct any and all preventive maintenance per machine specifications Inspect parts for quality and dimensional accuracy Reports to their supervisor for direction daily and promptly report any questions or problems Operate assigned machines in a safe manner Utilize hand tools, case press, strap clamps, jigs, to assemble carcasses of furniture Work independently or in teams based on the needs of assembly and make decisions based on established operating procedures
